The Contemporary Holocaust Education Foundation
(CHEF) is a New York based non-profit educational
organization that works throughout the United
States. CHEF organizes teacher training seminars
focused on the Holocaust as a starting point for
understanding human rights issues today. These
seminars are based on the teacher's manual "Moving
Towards Respect".
It also tours a newly developed exhibtion for
schools entitled "Choices". This exhibition
is aimed at middle and high school students and
takes a close look at the decisions that people,
especially young people, made during the period
of the Holocaust and the difficult decisions they
have to make today.
